Niki Protopapa
Niki Protopapa’s artistic practice has taken her all around the world. She studied painting in Athens, sculpture in Florence, and jewellery design in London before moving to Brussels and starting to work in ceramics. After several years in Kenya, Tanzania and Sudan, she returned to live and work in Athens. Niki’s bold ceramic works celebrate both Greece and Africa. Using deft brush strokes and vibrant colours she combines the palm trees, landscape and wild animals of the savannah with traditional Greek patterns, symbols and objects.
